Hi folks,

OK, first off this post is about a pretty low end Citizen Eco-Drive watch so I'm afraid there is little "watch porn" here!

I have several watches languishing in their boxes for various reasons. Some I just don;t like anymore and others I like but are not comfortable to wear.

This watch is a case in point. I bought this on a whim a number of years ago in Singapore I think. I kind of liked the funky look at the time - and still do TBH.

Problem is that it is really heavy with the metal strap and for me it is not comfy.

Rather than sell it - for very little probably - I'm wondering if I can switch the strap for a rubber or leather one. The issue is that it has an unusual lug design meaning that it needs a non standard strap.

See pic below. Any ideas where I might go to get a replacement rubber or leather strap, or am I on a hiding to nothing here? I have found one place that seems to do something close but it still looks like the two integrated inner protrusions within the lug will get in the way of the new strap.

Strap I have found:-

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Give citizen uk headoffice a call and speak with their parts department. I'm sure they'll help you find a rubber for it (if it exists and is still available for sale)

Get a standard leather or rubber strap and one of these:

You might have to search a bit to get the right size, or improvise a bit, but it is doable.

Nice! I'll definitely give that a try - thanks for the link.
