I like this watch, but know very little about old Rolexs. I'm guessing it is over priced as it has been for sale (resisted many times) over the last few months.

Opinions please. Thanks.

Not my cup of tea, but even so I would not be shelling out that kind of dollar on that

It is tiny. 33mm is the size of a modern womans watch, so unless you have tiny tiny wrists, it could look a bit daft.

OK thanks.

It appealed because I was born in 1965 near Birmingham. This was hallmarked in Birmingham in 1965....

Hardly! Most womens fashion watches are getting on for 40mm though not everyone needs to walk around with a kitchen clock on their wrist.

My Rolex Cellini Cestello is 33mm, here it is pictured with our others to show the sizes (third from left) and IMHO a nice dress watch should be around that size. I do love my Sea Dweller, but I wouldn't wear it with a tux!

And that's he key ... it's about where and when it will be worn

I personally like it but then I have a couple of vintage 60/70s omega de villes which are similar and simple ... I wear gshocks daily but then have dress watches for eveningwear type attire

The fact that the seller can't spell the word 'guarantee' would put me off.

Sorry chaps, it seems the only people I have riled are the ones who own these tiny vintage pieces. Things move on, I wasn't wrong when I said it is about the size of a modern womans watch. I still appreciate them as a nice vintage watch, but would find them too small for me, irrespective of what I was wearing.

Well I'm not offended (the smallest gents watch I own is 1" square.) You're entitled to your own opinion however wrong it is! biggrin

Im not offended either, but you do risk confusing your opinion for fact.

With regards to 34mm being a small vintage watch: you will see that Rolex still make mens watches in this size.
