I have a PVD dive watch. Black case, face and bezel. Not a 'ghost', as there's some relief. White markings on the bezel, white and orange... Oh bugger it. it looks like this:

I wear it on the silicon strap pictured, and used to have it on a PVD mesh until that broke. I wondered if anyone has suggestions for a leather strap, as I'm not a fan of the deployant clasp it uses presently.

I don't want a plain black strap, so wondered what you lot are wearing your PVD watches on.

Not PVD but I have two of my watches on Hirsch Leonardo straps which I am very pleased with, however, they are very thick at the watch end so need a chunky watch to be suitable.

Lots of options for contrasting stitching colours.

This will do chunky, the strap is 24mm. The Leonardo is curved/integrated, isn't it? Not keen on croc/ostrich/shark/carbon.

Moderately dark brown with black stitching and black buckles etc work nicely.

That was kind of what I was thinking. Thanks.

Yes it has curved ends, and on the two I have smooth black leather. I have a plain black on an Ananta chrono and black with red stitching on a GO.

The only slight downside is that it has a built in adjustment system that lets you subtly adjust the position of the spring bar relative to the end of the strap - this means you have to use rather slender spring bars, which are supplied, but on a bigger watch my preference would be a slightly beefier bar. I'm sure this is psychological and they are plenty strong enough, especially as they fit quite tightly in a plastic insert within the strap.

Might look good on a Brady Strap 'sailcloth' with coloured stitching (as you don't want plain black)

Especially with a PVD buckle (although you might have to find one separately I think).

A Yellow Dog leather NATO might be a good choice too.

Those sailcloth ones are nice. One of them with orange stitching is looking tempting.

a NATO would give me a lot of colour choices, but I'd really prefer a two piece on this.

I sometimes struggle with NATOs because the placement of the stitching effectively dictates the length of each tail, and I sometomes find the buckle doesn't sit opposite the watch itself. Plus, this is a chunky watch, and the extra height given by a thick NATO strap would possibly make it OTT for me.

I'm not a huge fan of NATOs myself.

The Dreadnought is such a heavy watch that the Yellowdog was too soft to stop it flopping around and being thick it did sit very high, but it's now on a nylon TF NATO, which suits it well AND I can dive in without having to remember to switch straps (Maybe I should try resizing the bracelet one day? biggrin)
