I'm pretty tempted by this Junghans Max Bill Chronoscope. I like the relative simplicity of it and the white dial is very attractive IMHO. I sold a few of their 19th Century spring driven "Vienna" wall clocks back when I was dealing. Anyone have experience with their modern timepieces?

Never owned one myself though I've been tempted, they have a solid reputation and use well known and reliable ETA movements so if you like the style go for it.
There are a few people in this little part of PH that own a Junghans and one or two have that specific model.

It's a piece that's on my radar, nice sharp looking dress watch.

I like that too - don't see them worn too often.

Think they're gorgeous.

One on the list definitely.

I owned one for quite a few years. Was without the numerals (in photo above) as I preferred that style.

Lovely watch. Bought mine from Neil at Chronomaster.

Managed to crack the crystal (no idea how) but turned out that they have a repair centre just behind Regents Street so 2 mins from my office at the time. £70 to repair.

Sold it in the end after 5/6 years of ownership for same price I'd bought it for.

Almost like a flying saucer in profile. The convex crystal makes the hands look like they bend at the end - really interesting optical effect.

I'd recommend one!

Beautiful watch. Had my white faced watch around 3 years and still very pleased with it.

Negatives:
I couldn't recommend it as a daily. They rapidly pick up scratches on the domed perspex face.
The movement (rotor) can be heard quite clearly, but only noticeable in quieter rooms (I notice when I first put on my wrist)

Thanks Andy that second picture made me want one even more now, and at a time when the watch fund is severely depleted due to a raid when buying the Disco. I missed the sale Jura watches had in September it had 40% off, taking the cost to around £1100, then a guy on TZ who had purchased in the Jura sale, did not bond with it and sold it at the sale price, guess what, I missed that to.

This one is definitely on my list too. In line with the surgeion comment, I would expect to see this on a Saab driving Architect's wrist as well.

Thanks for the responses guys. I really like it. It seems to be selling for around $1800 here with the "official" distributor at $2100. I was going to look at a Monaco for my next purchase but I'm shifting this way.

Stainless with mesh is the way to go, but the brass one with a plain brown leather strap looks great too.
