TEGROV MINUTESTOP
Discussion
Hi everyone. I found this lurking at the back of a drawer. I bought it new, mail order, in the 70's.
My brother bought a smaller Tegrov at the same time. I suspect it shared the same movement as it had the Minutestop feature too.
A quick google suggests that it has an EB 8806 movement although it is marked 8800.
It runs for up to ten seconds if you shake it. The inner and outer bezels move fine.
I fancy getting it sorted and finding a suitable strap for it. It's a big watch. I like big watches.
Would a High street repair shop be OK with this? It might only need a service/clean.
The screws bear witness to someone having "looked at it" in the past, which is weird as I have no such recollection.
There also looks to be something missing under the pusher. Weirder still.
As regards the Minutestop feature, the orange hand is tied to the minute hand but should flick to the top when the button is pushed.
It does not "park" at the top at all though, it's moving all the time.
Anyway, here it is...
