Why do some people put these watches down! I've had about 12 of them now since my first in 1999 and none have been any problem at all. (Just don't use TAG for servicing!!)

I don't care what movements they use, provided when I look at my watch it tells me the time, that's all I need......

Had this 3 weeks now and really like it, lovely and weighty, a very smart watch.

I'm not sure of the "Limited Edition" claim, they'll no doubt make 1000s of them, but I'm chuffed to bits with it and the service I received from a jewellers in Nottingham when pre-ordering and collecting it.

How much of the RRP goes to the Senna Foundation?
I certainly hope it's not just a marketing tool used to cash in on a fallen sportsman.

As to the watch, I rather like it

I fully agree with that, and as a fan of Senna from 1989 I hope so too.

I believe the standard model chrono sells for £1050, so I would like to assume that the extra £150 goes to the good causes that the Senna Foundation supports.

I'm a tag fan, but that does nothing for me.

I think that might look better on a non-Link bracelet. The end links don't integrate well with the quite traditional case shape.

I'd suggest you look at Casio, if that's all you need. Not knocking Casio, G Shocks are lovely watches especially the ones with waveceptor (crucial if you need the watch to tell you time) and solar power.

My comment was directed at the movement, not the watch, I have a Seiko chrono too but haven't worn a Casio since I was 14 lol

+1 - I know someone who owns a black plastic Casio, about £8 from eBay I believe, but he chooses to wear a £4k Rolex instead. What an idiot, eh? wink

Personally not a tag fan, but definitely a Senna fan, so if this is OP's way of wearing his pride, I'm all for it!

Listen, I was just trying to be nice and not to tell the man straight up that if he thinks that this TAG is nice he'd better pop into Specsavers pronto. And if he's after timekeeping - since that's what he implied originally - nothing beats a watch which syncs daily with atomic clocks around the world.

So your opinion should be more important to me than my own when I'm out buying watches? lol

I never said I'm after precision timekeeping, please show me where I said I was?

Absolutely, everyone should buy a watch on what THEY like, not be pressured or swayed by blinkered watch snobs on here......

Because it takes them 7 weeks to change a battery!

I ended up screaming at them over the phone the last time I used them, simply demanding to send it me back as 6 and a half weeks was long enough to change a battery
