I've been looking at either these or DSSD. I've got a couple of London dealers down to £6150 for a new European watch.

Hi

£6150 for which one?

I'm thinking of selling my 2013 DSSD so I'm curious where it puts my watch relatively

Sorry, £6150 for a new European SDc.

I'm looking for a used Deepsea. Ping me a PM if you're interested in selling.

Thanks, will do!

I`m thinking of selling a few other watches before the DSSD because they really aren`t getting worn!

I also have an SDc and that gets worn FAR more than the DSSD

Oh it's ended. You missed out. Which is such a shame because the seller said it was 1000% genuine. That's 10 times more genuine than something totally genuine.

Now you'll have to join the waiting list he mentions in his ad. Not sure what you'd be waiting for exactly, mind you, because our local AD always seems to have one in the window. I cannot imagine they are unique.

Personally I'd be spending the money on a pre-ceramic 16600.

It all depends what the OP wants. Pre ceramic 16600 could be had for £4250 and upwards. Maybe less if you frequent the watch forums at the right time.

There are a few new European SD 4000 around on Ebay and Chrono 24 for around £6250 ish. Without much negotiations I've got one of the sellers down to £6k. That's for a brand new, stickered European watch with box and papers.

Seems like there's a bit of "history" shall we say regards the one I was looking at.

Gone for a DSSD instead. Bring on the 10% price rise...

If you've been looking at the SDC, you might be disappointed with the non-ceramics bracelet and clasp. I tried the non-c on before buying my SDc and the clasp just seemed really awkward. Hard to explain without seeing the difference between the 2 but at one point, I could get the clasp to open without any real pressure.

The older style bracelets were more basic, it's true. But I've not heard of one coming undone. The flip side being the watches were more tool watches than the ceramics, which have moved further towards the jewellery end of the spectrum.

+1

I had the 16600 a few years back and this was a bugbear for me. I loved the watch head, the bracelet is ok but the clasp feels no better than what you get on a Tag F1.
I ended up swapping for a Sub C
