Hey folks,

As the title says my eye is drawn to this watch. Does anyone have any experience of it? I know Longines is technically not as high end as Rolex, Omega and the likes but in my my region of the world, 2nd hand we are still looking at 5k+ for a ten year old Rolex which is a bit out my budget so I'm not looking for a like for like comparison but it seems to have got good reviews for compared to similar in the price range.

I can pick up said watch 1.9k new with all the warranty and stuff. Good move or bad move?

Cheers

I bought the Saint-Imier Retrograde Moonphase a couple of years ago that was released for the 150th anniversary of Longines.

I think the range are smart looking, offering good value for money, the retrograde hands are something different too. I find it wears well with a shirt for work or with jeans and a polo at the weekend. You also don't see too many on other peoples wrists.

The only downside I could see is that the watch can take some re-setting if allowed to run completely down (I don't put mine on watch winders when being rotated as that's part of the fun).
