Christopher Ward new models (and logo)
Discussion
Noticed that CW have had a bit of a rebrand and a web site spruce up, with a new dial logo. I hated the old dial branding. Quite like the C65 Trident Classic II in 43mm:

And the 'vintage' version in 38mm:

Crikey, the price has risen a lot since the last time I looked at them! IMHO it seems bordering on too expensive perhaps?
I was expecting to see comedy prices, but £500-£560 doesn't seem as expensive as I was expecting. What does surprise me is that theyre still using ET2824s, along with the Sellita 200. The days when a 2824 is bottom grade can be bought for £30-odd has long since passed.
I have to admit, I do love their C5 Malvern Slimline Square: https://www.christopherward.co.uk/watches/dress/c5...

I really dislike it when companies change their branding. I can't quite put my finger on it, it just suggests something I'm not keen on.
Sometimes it's OK, but in this case I agree, it's crap. Is it me, or is the new branding a bit...
Also, I have nothing to say here apart from "what utter b

In the 1960s and '70s, the cool guys wore black polo-neck jumpers, drove sports cars (or at least Ford Capris) and charmed women with a twitch of their eyebrows. Meanwhile, the ladies had hair like Jane Fonda and were embracing the new-found freedoms that feminism was offering. It was a time of change – and this stunning new watch harks back to that incredible era.

That style isn't for me but I'm pleased to see a manufacturer introducing an automatic at 38mm. Perhaps the tide is turning.
Agreed that there's a market for mid-size automatics instead of the modern dinnerplate, although I fear it's aimed at the ladies' market where 28mm is no longer fashionable.Alas the new logo, to me, is far less appealing than the previous, more discrete, "CW" or the serif "CHR.WARD".
And perhaps an indicator of how Christopher Ward see their brand going:

The magazine incidentally is a free one for people working in the watch trade, and since most people on here like to buy and sell watches I think that counts for a free subscription.
