As per title, looking for a decent divers watch for ideally about £250ish. Don't care about brand just want a good looking quality time piece. A couple of my favs so favourites are:

Concerned above might be a bit big though.

Thanks.

I bought one of Paul's divers recently. Excellent value in my opinion.

While the casios are all very nice I was perhaps looking for something a bit less mainstream and different.

Scurfa looks good and a great price. Definitely being added to the list.

Thanks so far.

Seiko SKX007 or SKX009. Same watch, but with a different colour dial and bezel.

The 'J' or 'K' suffix (if even mentioned in the product description) denotes manufacture in either Seiko's native Japan, or elsewhere in Asia. Some claim quality differences between the K and J, but I am quite sceptical as to any difference existing beyond the coincidental. There is a slight difference in text on the dial.

Available on Amazon on a variety of straps/bracelet for under £200.

A well designed, well built diver's watch that has, with good reason, become the default answer for questions like these on watch forums.

007 then 009 below.

Citizen Promaster range? Not as extensive as they used to be but rock solid watches, good technology unless you specifically want auto and comfortably in budget.

Just about to post the same.

Picked up an aqualand promaster with depth meter for the equivalent of £450 in America.

Also spotted a tidy Seiko prospex in the airport yesterday.

Sadly it looks like Citizen UK have stopped importing the Aqualand range and have dropped their Promaster offerings to 3 or 4 models. Seems a little odd seeing as they were pretty much the go-to range for sports divers at one point.

So I've gone from discounting a Seiko to having it as my number 1 choice:

Looks really cool plus the price is spot on.

Thoughts?

Have a look at the creation watches website. Good prices and very well regarded in watch circles. Never been stung by customs when I've used them either.

Great watch, but they are quite big, so not for the small wristed.

Interesting thread as I have been without a watch for a decade or so but am getting an itch to get one, all of the Seiko's look fantastic and great value; good reviews too.

Makes you wonder what the premium makes offer over and above, that is worth the extra £5k, however I would still love a Rolex Submariner.

If you fancy something a bit different, a brass automatic for £250 is a good buy.

Will develop a lovely patina over time.
