I owned a submariner date in 2004 I paid £2400 for it new and sold it as I was only 22 at the time. I wish I never had and now want a Rolex again. I like the new 2016 air King and explorer. I am open to options I would also get 2nd hand sub. What discount would I get at best off a new air King and where is a good place to get a new or used Rolex I live in Warrington. £4K is max budget

Dominic Hackett seems to be the go to guy. Google his surname and the word watches as all one word with a ".com" at the end of it

Would I get a discount of the 2016 air King? If so how much?

With 4K I would use ebay. However, always pick up the watch yourself for a cash sale and if you're not sure what you are looking for then meet at a local AD to have the watch verified. I've saved a fortune buying off ebay.

I think you would struggle as its a brand new model, but it seems a very marmite watch, so if they sit around a bit you might get lucky.
Saying that if you have £4K I can't see many ADs letting you walk out for a £150 quid if you get me.

I've often been in an AD, told them my budget, show me some watches. If I see something I like I'll start negotiations, if the final price isn't one I'm happy with, I walk away.
