Help a complete novice!

I know next to nothing about watches and don't own one at present. At least none that work!

For our 20th wedding anniversary my wife and I want to buy watches for eachother.

Budget is £1000 max for both and would like an everyday watch.

My wife prefers larger watches ie. not the normal small ladies watches and not gold coloured.

I'm open to anything so more suggestions the better

Have a look through some of the brands offered by Page & Cooper such as SINN, Demasko, and Fortis. I bought one of the silver Autodromo Prototipo watches from them and the services was excellent, bang on your budget too.

Also take a look on the Christopher Ward site, there quality is very good, and offer decent value especially if you like one of the watches in the 'sale' section.

Best thing is to take a look and pick a style that you like, then come back here and ask for views of different brands, some are 'smoke and mirror', and some offer exceptional value.

I would look at 20 year old Omegas. There should be plenty in budget.
