Hi All

Im currently looking to buy a nice 1680 sub (non red due to budget) and have been trawling the web. I have a budget of £5-5.5k and for that want a watch with a perfect dial and matching perfect hands with a nice creamy patina . Been trawling the web and there are some really tempting examples on Chrono24, most in Italy eg

I could jump on an Easyjet flight and personally collect, so thats no problem. However I have never bought a watch like this before and am not confident I would know what to look for. I would much prefer to buy locally and with a personal recommendation etc. The likes of Dom H doesn't seem to have any stock of the 1680 (and I suspect it would be out of my price range anyway). Has anyone seen or know of a 1680 that fits the bill and might be worth recommending?

The alternative would be a creamy yellow matt dial 16660 sea dweller. Never seen one in person and not sure if they are generally a pricier proposition..

Thanks for any help

Matt

I think the general consensus on C24 is buy the buyer not the watch. I had a trouble free experience with a seller from Italy ... I did my research, saw lots of positive reports and the fact they had a premises helped. I paid 80 euro's to have it sent via DHL ... quicker and less hassle then a flight.

I would certainly buy again from the dealer I used or another should they stock the watch I wanted.
