Seems a reasonable price, retails currently a bit over £7k, but for that money I'd be wanting a mint watch with b & p.
There are a few on Chrono24.com at the moment, some for less than yours, some for more, but the majority have a box and papers with the watch.
You also mention a price in USD? If you're buying from the States, then expect to pay a fair bit of duty when it enters the UK. I've been stung this way on more than one occasion... Apologies if you are actually in America.
ETA: Forget about making money on watches (unless you're a dealer). I just buy mine to wear and enjoy and, on the odd occasion I do reluctantly sell something, it's a bonus to me if I don't actually make a loss.

Hmm, the one I've been offered isn't mint. I think it'll at least need a polish. Buying from a trusted source so confident it's mechanically sound.
My concern with Chrono24 is buying from someone trustworthy/legit. Have heard horror stories and understand a lot of due diligence required. I'm busy these days so don't have enough time for that, otherwise I'd be buying from there.

I don't intend on selling it but if bought at the right price, I should not be out of pocket too much if I ever have to sell.
