After reading shocking reviews for the Nigel O'Hara site, I've decided to go with Creation Watches. There's a discount code box at checkout, so thought it would be worth a try asking if anyone has a current code. Thanks

Usually only applies to sale watches. They seem to always have 'clearance' and 'blowout' sales and with those watches you get 5% or 10% off, eg 'Use Coupon Code BSW25 while checking out for an additional discount of 5%' for blowout and 'Use Coupon Code CLEAR while checking out for an additional discount of 10%' on clearance. Watches in both sales are listed, use the headings on the left hand index on the homepage.

Thanks for that. Typically, the watch I want isn't in the sale. I don't mind paying the 'full' price, but a little discount is always nice.

If you're not in a hurry, add yourself to their mailing list and, as above, you'll get frequent mailings with further discounts, usually on a particular manufacturer but sometimes on a wider basis.

Also, fire them an email, and ask if there's any wiggle room on price.

They can only say no smile

Oh and another vote for Creation btw yes

Have a look at Skywatches too - similar concept to creation, and cheaper in some respects.

You can all stop posting now. I've ordered the watch and really don't want a 50% off code now smile

I've never used Creation (as I rarely buy new watches) but I have read this and I can't say I'd be happy spending with them.

Hope it all goes smoothly OP.

Well, first blip. Ordered yesterday, stated in stock and delivery was given as 'express 1-2 days". Got an e-mail this morning saying it will be sent from Japan in 7 days. It's a gift that will now be late turning up

What a strange comment.

100s of PHers use creation more than once with no problem at all.

I got a skx007 from them - great service. The watch did break two years later but likely my fault.

Hardly strange. Yes Creation are cheap, but it appears that their after service is poor.
Yer takes yer choice & pays yer money.
Why is it strange to point that out?

Strange because you picked a negative comment out of what must be dozens of examples of positive feedback on here.

Pick a retailer of just about anything, and you'll find at least one person who's not happy with their service.

If you had to disregard every retailer on the basis of someone being negative, you'd never buy anything from anywhere.

Totally agree, that's the only negative Creation story I have ever read, there are many, many positive ones. I have bought a number of watches from Creation and all have turned up in perfect condition in under a week. I don't expect ebay sellers to have 100% feedback, 90% + is surely good enough?

Fair enough.
Yeah there are lots of stories about people buying watches from Creation and being very happy with the price and goods. If all goes smoothly (and it generally does)then great! But having seen how bad their after care is, I wouldn't touch 'em personally. I'd rather pay a small premium for a UK seller.

As I said, pays yer money, takes yer choice.

I've bought from Creation before and it's been an easy process. I tried to buy from O'hara and got my bank to give me my money they kept in their account for way too long with squat chance of delivery of product. Never again.

I've ordered from Creation before and wouldn't do so again. My order was cancelled 2 days after they advised me it had been dispatched; it was cancelled for being out of stock though it still appeared on their website for sale 3 days after I had placed my order.

Nothing short of disgusting service. They ignored emails and then deleted my posts from their social media accounts and blocked me.

Well I'll just jump on the other end of the seesaw and say, I've bought 3 Seikos from Creation, each one has turned up quickly, I have been able to track it online, it's been on time, and packaged up in old bits of newspaper so that it doesn't attract much attention. Ideal, and would definitely buy from them again, unless something has massively changed.

Well, it's not looking good. Watch still hasn't turned up and I eventually got the tracking number to work and found its sat at Parcel Force awaiting payment of customs charges. Creation watches won't reply to e-mails about it. When I bought the watch, it stated available for delivery in 48hrs. Then it was in Japan. No mention of customs charges. (Until you search through the small print)
I'm certainly not paying extra for the watch and feel like I've been scammed. I can feel a credit card dispute coming on.

I don't think you'll win this one with your cc company. The charge will be Post office ( £17 ? ) plus the duty. It's the way of it. last time I looked, Cration did mention it on their site to.

They mention it buried in the small print. There's no mention of it on the ad for the watch. The fact that it said 'available' with 48hrs delivery is enough for me. Any saving on the watch is effectively lost now. Very crooked practice as far as I'm concerned

Seem to recall this being more of an issue with watches they ship from Japan as they seem to be somewhat less 'creative' with the customs forms for those items...
