Can anyone recommend a watch to take travelling. Nothing flash but something reliable, doesn't need recharging, is easy to use, has some functions (alarm and stop-watch) and not dependent on wifi/internet. It has to be comfortable to wear and not enormous so that it snags on everything. And - not too expensive. Best if available for quick delivery. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Are many watches dependant on wifi?

I have an overly complicated Garmin Fennix sportswatch which needs internet to download all the (useless) stuff it records and doesn't adjust to changes in time zone easily unless it connects to the internet.

Casio F91-W

Its a bit on the small side, but has all the functions you need and you can pick them up cheap enough for it be disposable...

GShock or an F-91 for me.

My G Shock actually gets the most wrist time out of all my watches. Mostly because I don't give a toss about it so don't have to worry about wearing it in the gym etc.

As above: Casio F91-W...on a nato strap.

Exactly what I am wearing as I type this as it happens.

Sadly, the answer is something that measures the passage of time by means of an audio wave travelling in a piezo-electric material. They're all the same, they have no soul, may as well get a F91-W.

My travel watch is the Citizen Red Arrows. It has a world time function for time zones, has the EcoDrive system so no dead battery or manual winding and it's only £199 on black leather or £229 on steel like mine. If you abuse the mini bar at the hotel then you won't be worried about falling over and breaking it as much as you would a high end Swiss watch. They look much better than their price would suggest.

Of all my watches (and I do have an F91 somewhere) it's my Seiko SNZG07 that I always seem to take travelling with me. It's absolutely brilliant.

Same as mine. Also just a little bit different to the run of the mill stuff.
