I've been searching for a watch for a special birthday for my son and have come across one from an Internet retailer named Nigel O Hara. It's quite a bit cheaper than the retail price but some online reviews are quite negative. Has anybody used them to buy a watch or had any other experiences.

I have, it was fine. I bought a watch and received it quickly and it was new in the box.

I bought a couple of watches from this retailer 3 years ago (Bulova Precisionist and a ladies watch that I can't remember) as they were substantially cheaper than other suppliers. No problems, and shipping was fast.

I thought I had ordered a watch from them at what appeared to be a great price but unfortunately despite them taking the money for it, it never showed up.

Initially they kept saying it will be delivered soon, but after waiting a month I asked for my money back. After that the responses started to dry up and they kept fobbing me off for months, in the end I had to call my credit card company to get the money back.

keeping it factual, I would never use them again.

Try www.creationwatches.com/products/casio-g-shock-57/
which I have used many times; or apparently www.seiyajapan.com/collections/casio are good and I intend to use them for my next purchase.

It's £150 cheaper on the O'Hara site , so I might take a punt and use my credit card for some protection. Thanks for the replies

No. I went with another Internet Company who subsequently wanted another £100+ on top of the advertised price to complete delivery. Got a full refund through my credit card company.

It would appear they can now be referred to using the past tense. They will not be missed.
