It's our 20th anniversary and looking to spend approx. £750 on a watch for the wife (£0.72 / week isn't bad to put up with me biggrin)

She has quite small wrists, any ideas? (sensible or not)

How old is she (approx.) i.e. would she like a big man's sized watch like the fashion these days or a smaller ladies watch that is more dressy?

What's on her wrist at present?

She's 44, and would probably like a smaller dressy watch rather than a large "show off" one.

On her wrist currently is an Argos £20 special paperbag

That list makes highlights point that what some people consider ladies watches others might consider large! There's one on there at 39mm which IMO is a big watch (my Speedmaster Reduced is the same size) while the tank shaped watch is the same size as my JLC Reverso Shadow Grand Taille hehe

The Pequignet watches are nice especially because the bracelets are not the common style.
