I've decided the time is right to add a Monster to the collection.

Question is, where am I likely to find one? Not fussed about used as long as it's clean.

They come up on eBay from time to time but I would rather buy in person. Any suggestions where I could get one please?

Cheers smile

Creation.

And to be honest, no-one is going to give you a different answer from PH!

Think I got mine from Seiya Japan, back in 2009, which was then the 'go-to' place, I'm sure. Sounds like Creation is today's choice!

slightly off topic...... but the bezel on my Black Monster has become tight, and now won't rotate. Can anyone recommend a specialist that can give it a service and sort this problem out?

cheers,

Likely to be a build-up of grime and possibly salt if you've taken it in the sea. I'd initially give it a soak in clean water and then turn it gently.

Removing a bezel is usually relatively straight forward, try youtube.

If you're not comfortable doing it yourself, any local independant should be able to help.

Clean under bezel with dental floss, if the above doesn't work.

Got my Black Monster from Creation a couple of years ago.
Got an Orange Monster to join it from Skywatches this week.

Only went with the latter because they had it in stock with a bracelet and Creation didn't. Both were priced about the same, and both delivered within 2-3 business days.

I think (could be wrong) that I didn't get an official Seiko worldwide warranty with the watch from Creation; definitely got one from Skywatches. But I could be mistaken.

Google it; it's a frequent topic on this (and watch) forums.

Doesn't bother me, and I just got the cheapest (K).
What took more time was deciding between SRP509 and SKX781... decided to keep it old-school.

Is shipping free with Skywatches, as it is with Creation?

Any customs charges? Creation generally don't get them.

Shipping was free without a box. But I wanted the proper box etc in case I hated it and wanted to move it on.
No customs charges, came via FedEx.

They stopped selling to UK customers, unfortunately.
