PanoMatic Lunar on.

Been switching between this and my IWC Portuguese 7 days auto for wrist time. Nothing else from my lot coming into rotation of late.

8 months in and no loss of love at all.
Still a pinch myself moment each time I wear it.

How does the general finish of the watch compare to the IWC?
Looks a beauty in the pics

Got this from Chrono and don't know masses about it but apparently it was a bespoke build so a one of one.

I have another of his watches that's a beast but this is a not a bad size, if maybe a bit deep.

Not taking anything away from the Portuguese but this Glasshutte is finished a lot better.

Just oozes quality when you get close up.

Even on the dial, you can see the tack spots if you look really close on the applied markers on the Portuguese. (see pic below on the 11 marker where the light is reflecting off the tack spots from behind the dial).

Just little miniscule details like that which make the difference.

The glashutte is definitely a step or two up in the quality department.

The small details really do add up.
I really do rate IWC but like you say the Glasshutte does look a class or two above

Always liked IWC designs, that looks great. Lack of lume may bother me, but with a dial that nice i doubt it. Really like the Mark XX but out of my price range for the time being.

Wearing my Seiko Alpinist, which has become the daily. All the more so with the Uncle rice bead bracelet fitted. England win was a nice way to settle down for the evening.

A dress watch shouldn't have lume.

Fair to say, never owned a dress watch. Any particular reason? The party is always lit I guess.

Ps: if its a dress watch, why the cronograph?

And if it is not lit, it would be rude to be checking the time? lol

It's a good question these days

A traditionalist would say a plain face without date, seconds or any other complication.

Not many people bother with such definitions any more.

I have no problem with the humour, but (and by all means take this personally smile ) I absolutely hate people using "lol" in any context, ever.
