The Under £200ish Watch and occasional Opera Thread! Vol2

Currently somewhat tempted by this Epoch watch on Ali.
At £200 it's the higher end of what I'd be willing to pay from there, especially when I'm almost certain it won't be a patch quality wise on a San Martin.
Still, multi coloured Tritium for under £200 appeals to the child in me!

I'm a fan of the Chinese stuff In general, and I use Ali Express quite a lot, but I wouldn't want to be paying 200 quid for one I don't think. At £200 it's the higher end of what I'd be willing to pay from there, especially when I'm almost certain it won't be a patch quality wise on a San Martin.

I think there's a few brands I'd spend nearer to that amount on. Sugess or Seagull but they do tend to be a bit more tried and tested. I do love a bit of AliExpress but any watches I wasn't sure on, I'd be checking out for Youtube videos or online reviews. Pebbles167 said:
Speaking of Sugess, their Breitling Premier copies are going for £90 on Ali, which is a fair bit less than usual.

Oh you rotten sod! Offer fatty another cream cake why don't you?
Fortunately for me 40mm is a bit on the large size (why would you when there's a 38mm available?) and I don't like the chrono second hand on the 38mm versions.
Edit: Would you look at that? My PH account is 21.

Probably the wrong strap colour-wise but I couldn’t be arsed to resize the bracelet. Plus this strap is broken in and super comfy.
Anyway, case bezel crystal and bracelet are all absolutely unmarked. The Nh35 is running pretty much bang-on. Not bad for £52 shipped to my door (€60)
Walter Mitt have been going for a while: as the photos suggest they’re about as ‘faux-vintage’ as you can get but are pretty upfront about it, and decent value too. No need to worry about fragile movements or dodgy gaskets on a vintage dive watch as they’re brand new.
They use the Miyota 8000 movement which is a bit ‘spinny’ but super reliable.
I don’t think anyone has one on here so clearly it’s up to you to get one and report back with a review.

Latest bargain car boot find, a pair of Seiko ''Pan Ams" for the princely sum of £13 (haggled down from £15
)
A M158- 5009 and the one in the photo, a M158-5000. Was gobsmacked when they both fired up with a new battery, though the other has a broken glass, no bracelet and doesn't adjust properly. Both have had a had life and are cosmetically challenged, but after removing about a pound of DNA from the bracelet and case the 5000 looks acceptable on the wrist. Even the light works, which apparently is very rare thing.

No prices as of yet, so may or may not qualify - but I know Spinnaker are a favourite of this thread.

Pretty watch. Put that on a nice leather strap and it'll look great. Pebbles167 said:
Interesting design. Always liked Smiths since I became aware of them, and their current models are really nice too.
I have to admit, until this appeared from the MIL's I had little to no idea about them, but I really like their simple design, I have only found a couple with this specific face so far, I wouldn't mind an Astral or if I can find one in my budget an old Everest 24 jewel...or 22, can't rememberEdited by Pebbles167 on Tuesday 9th July 11:46

A spongebob collection?https://spinnaker-watches.com/pages/hass-automatic...
I'm not sure if that will be cringe or cool on the wrist of grown men

It is only a 30-32mm, beyond a 38mm on me looks silly as its too chunky for my wrists, but I admit I do like the metal strap, if a bit ladylike, but service first so it works and then decide, probably go for an orange or red strap on this.
