Not normally a fan of gold, but that actually works really well. I wonder how it would look with a green or black leather strap with gold buckle...

A few observations on THAT gold watch.

If I had a Toyota Century the watch would absolutely fit in with the car when living the vibe.

Once accepting the above, great to get the watch with the Surgess logo, no pretending it is a Rolex, for me it's cool in this situation.

It has caused more posts in an hour or two than any other watch on this thread.

Enjoy your watch 21st Century man.

I am pleased you feel welcomed by some understanding of your purchase on what I believe to be the friendliest thread on PH.

I have enjoyed reading about your car elsewhere on PH, I might not ever own one but love the grandeur of them and can see why other people have them.

Two things, whilst driving your car wearing that watch please tell people your name is Huggy Bear, secondly if you wear the watch away from your car on a normal day, maybe just maybe be prepared for the odd comment or two.

Well the AVI-8 Spitfire Woolston has arrived, and I'm wearing it away today.
First impressions were ok, a little lighter than I was expecting, and at first I thought it was a bit plasticy, but, having wound and set it I really like it, super legible, wears really nicely on the wrist, the leather strap is soft and comfortable, it's dead quiet in operation, and there are a load of nice little touches like the "rivets and panels"!!

Can I take the risk of jumping in there and answering?

If it fits Bobbers’ wrist like that then you don’t need to worry about it wearing small!

As alluded to buy Barchettaman, I have gorilla wrists, I believe mine are around 8" in circumference.

The ones with the panda are much more valuable. hehe

Are you still pleased with yours? Still working OK? Thanks for the tip when you got yours.

All my Chinese st works nicely, some are nearly quartz like, except the quartz ones hehe

This whole Chinese thing is very much love/hate, one has to divorce oneself from the political issues. Everything comes from friggin' China anyway.
