I have seen a ceramic Hydroconquest on a rubber strap for £700 whether it is still there when I can move on it is a different matter. It has been cut to child wrist size (71/4) so I would need to replace the strap. I do like my Certina so another wouldn’t be out of the question.
I bought a knock off 21mm Longines HydroConquest bracelet from AliExpress and it was outstandingly good. Cost about €30. Branded clasp and everything. I would definitely recommend it. redrabbit said:
Eccles, cheers - that's looks to be a very good shout. The auto Tapferkeits look very appealing. Does yours have the open back? And is the standard strap satisfactory?
Yes, mine has the open back and the strap is a padded, fairly decent quality black leather one. It generally feels a good quality watch.I collected the bronze steeldive this weekend.
I wasn't expecting the orange hands, and an orange rubber strap was included. The orange and bronze combo is a slightly problematic one I think, but it's a nice watch. Feels chunky and well-made, and is keeping good time.
Overall the impression is very positive.

Which is very nice, but I don't need 2 watches.
Of course not, you need a lot more than two.Barchettaman said:

Of course not, you need a lot more than two.Well I've just bought something that I think will scratch my itch for a titanium watch.
Specs look great with Sapphire crystal, titanium case, carbon fibre dial and 200m WR
Now the leather strap isn't my style and I'm planning to swap it onto a canvas one but I will fully admit it seems like a work of art!
Cost me a third of thread budget.

I'm excited.
I had a traser chronograph a few years ago. Bought on eBay then sold on eBay for not much less. They are quality things. I can't quite fathom how the ones TKmaxx have are so cheap, taking up space I assume.
I'll report back when it lands anyway.
Mines here already, I like it but it is too big. I've got skinny 6.5" wrists so 42 probably is the biggest I can do, it still doesnt look too massive for a 46 though. I'm not sure if the bracelet would even fit me still if I took out all the links you can as well.I had a traser chronograph a few years ago. Bought on eBay then sold on eBay for not much less. Some watches 'wear big' and some 'wear small', so don't be too rigidly guided by case size measurement

My wrists are only about 6.75" and I wear, ahem, 44mm 'Panerai Luminor-like' watches pretty regularly - feels a good size to me

Counterfeit Panerai watches. No wink required. Some watches 'wear big' and some 'wear small', so don't be too rigidly guided by case size measurement

It's a second hand watch from a company called momentum but they no longer produce this model or I may have purchased it new instead. The strap is aftermarket too and whilst I think it looks amazing quality I just don't wear leather straps so it will be going on a canvas strap instead. There might not be much appetite, but anyone of a venal disposition might wish to consider that watches priced in roubles make something of a bargain right now.
The komandirskie crowd's fare is looking excellent VFM if you can live with your conscience. I had an e-mail stating that they ship by DHL so you might even get to see your buy.
