Some nice watches there Bobbers. Blue seems to be a colour of choice smile

What’s your opinions on the CW’s? I’ve never had any experience of them myself.
I have 2 and i love them, by far the best made watches i own, incredibly well made, fabulous quality, no they're not cheap, but the packaging alone is delightful.

So last day of the Watchdives Xmas sale and I cracked and ordered one of these:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vBOiuB55z34

That is a version 1, I have ordered a version 2 same dial but the case has twisted/polished lugs like an Aqua Terra.

I have two dive watches and wanted a non dive sports watch that I can still swim with/get wet. I normally don't like white dials but the blue hands lift it and it will match/go well with a new to me car I bought in September pictured here:

https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

I am becoming such a pastiche of an old man liking things that I wouldn't have done before.

Will post piccies when it arrives.
Nice watch and a fabulous car, congratulations on both sir!!

What was the old car?
A rather tatty 2009 Peugeot 3008, right hand drive but German registered. Pretty crappy but it never let us down. Now on 180,000km.
And what's replacing it?

Starting the year as I mean to go on, a Spaceview has just landed on my doormat.

I'm going to say it fits the thread budget. Like junior doctors, we've not had an inflationary increase in the thread budget for years. The Doc's are asking for a 34.5% pay rise. It's clearly unreasonable to expect our management to bump the thread budget by that much. But they should aim to get close.

The Spaceview cost me £300. The thread budget is £200. Since £200 is 2/3 of £300, £300 must be 1/3 (33.3%) bigger than £200. That's waaay less of an increase than the junior doctors are demanding I think it's perfectly reasonable to include it in this thread.

I'll post some pictures next week. It's an N0 too, so it's the same age as I am. Let's hope it's not as knackered!

Good morning all, well, it appears that the board of directors has spoken!!! laugh
I humbly accept their verdict and will tender my resignation if so required. cry

I think the tread works very well if I'm honest and I really didn't expect it to be as popular as it is, I thank you all for your continued posting and input, long may it continue to be a place for like minded people to share their love of a cheap watch!!! beer

BrokenSkunk, please do post up the latest acquisition, I personally am fascinated by the watches you buy!!!

Bobbers, you need a trip to Midhurst! I once failed to resist a Tudor "Big Block" chrono from Allnut's, they have some esoteric watches, and Geoff is a well-known member of the BHI.

It's not far, and you can then drive through Cowdray Park to Petworth, then down to Goodwood, it's a really good drive.

Just a suggestion...
Stop trying to get me in trouble!!!

Swatch sell the straps in different lengths - they're not expensive, maybe get the longer one.
I have been looking at the dark grey rubber straps. Not that keen on velcro or NATO, I have a NATO on an American market Seiko Mohawk limited edition that the black metal strap was too small on . The strap and extra links are no longer available from Seiko .
As I get older fiddling with straps is getting more difficult with arthritis and occasionally tremors.
It didn't mention all this in my manufacturing warranty and supprisingly I am now beyond my warranty period !
laugh
To late to ask for a refund then?
