For me I like to take my time in choosing the next watch and often find that after several months of looking at one particular watch I realise it has a compromise that I am not happy with that wasn't apparent on first viewing.
This works for me and I wouldn't want to sell any of my current watches.
That's very true. In the rush of getting into collecting I've sold quite a few which I found I actually didn't like as much as I thought. I sold all my homage models, most of the quartz ones, and just about anything bigger than 42mm which I've realised is just too big for me. Keep doing what you're doing as it seems very sensible! This works for me and I wouldn't want to sell any of my current watches.
This falls outside thread budget when new, but I found an bargain which I couldn't turn down so now falls within thread budget.
Going on holiday soon, so what I absolutely needed was an ISO Certified divers watch to jump in the a shallow pool with the kids, it's the perfect man math justification, a normal 100m watch wouldn't do, it needed to be ISO Certified.

If you got that in that condition within (or even near) thread budget then it’s a superb deal. Citizen Promaster Divers Super Titanium
Then only problem with them is they render most of a collection utterly superfluous. They’re that good.
I like to think of EcoDrive as ‘the thinking man’s Seiko Spring Drive’
Bloody well bought. Have a great holiday!

In my middle-aged trend towards smaller watches, I picked up a Tisell 36mm Explorer homage for a quick try-on. Nicely made, decent 'glide lock' / on-the-fly clasp but I still prefer my 39mm Cronos so I think this one is a catch & release. Nice 4Hz movement, too,
Wouldn't have paid list but for half that (or less) it's a nice thing, and not 'too small'.
Took a bit of back and forth with it and the Cronos before I made my mind up.
(As ever - happy to let it go to a good home if anyone shouts before I re-list it)

Citizen are finally waking up that there is a vacuum left by Seiko that they can step in to. They're producing some really nice watches at the moment. That Super Titanium is very nice.

Just arrived, a JDM Seiko quartz chrono model number SBTR009. But these SBTRs come in a bunch of other colour variations, including with black bezel (the ice blue one with the subdials in a different position is real nice too SBTR029)
I ordered from Discovery Japan just this time last week, amazing really for £122.87 including shipping (plus £3.67 currency fee from my credit card co).
The 40mm size and short lug to lug make this suitable for anyone really. Will pop it on the strap shown which I ordered separately but also just arrived.
