If they are proper reviews by decent channels I'd tend to trust them, influencers and paid promoters can F right off though, listening to them could land you with the next Daniel Wellington.

Just something I read somewhere when it was discontinued, it was absent for a while and then reintroduced. Could just be bks on the internet? But I think it was Hodinkee iirc, so a reasonable source.

Lovely thing though, and I'd go "New" anyway.
I'm pretty new to it all so I'd imagine you know more than me, but a fair deal of research revealed no worrying things. Regardless, I'm sure it'll be fine for me to potter about on walks with!

It's possible I've posted this before, maybe even recently, but anyway...

This looks intriguing, £211 on Amazon, albeit a cheap looking strap and US supplier (easily rectified for me with my international agent network) - looks pretty cool IMHO, and a little light googling suggests it is a interesting movement.

Tell me why I shouldn't do it...

You absolutely should, it's an awesome movement in my opinion. Good price too.

Shame it's only in Bulova watches!

I can't see any reason not to. Handsome watch.

Er, nope! laugh

Actually, I was thinking of picking one up for my son for Christmas, he's in Japan and we're visiting in the autumn, so the price locally will probably be good what with the ever weakening Yen.

I have that movement in my Bulova Sea King, It's very accurate. I picked it up for a bargain £89 a few years ago It's no where near as elegant as the Precisionist but come the Zombie apocalypse I'll be all set smile

Excellent - thanks! Turns out it's actually £170 equivalent in the US, (my lovely sister will repatriate it in the Autumn), so that was the clincher.

I'm may need to start offloading some inventory soon though, to make way for newcomers...

Ooh, nice!

The price is tempting. I did weigh up whether to go for the Ice blue over the Mint Green.

Ultimately, I decided it's not worth paying £200 extra just to have a better movement when I was trying to buy a cheap 'fun' watch. Also read that the movement is difficult to service and has plastic components.

I was sort of in the same place. In fact I chanced it with a Pagani homage to see if I wanted one long term, and never went back...got the chrono as well, for well under £200 combined. I'm not dissing the originals, but having tried the Tissot on my wrist before I went to Pagani, I couldn't see much difference, and still can't...

I love the 262khz movement. Just looks so expensive the way it moves!

Heres my 262khz that I've had for around 6years:

While we're having a Bulova love-in, here's mine:

Any recommendations for a cheap single hand watch? I'm thinking along the lines of the more expensive MeisterSinger design.

I saw a brand Fawler and there's a few knocking around on Amazon.

That's a looker! What model is it? I wrongly thought the 262 only appeared in a couple of modernish designs.

Not that i dislike the precisionist but might have to go and actually buy one if they have it in watches that look this good.

I really do need to get one of those three-hand variants but I can never decide on which colour!

Remind me again which is the decent (UK?) vendor...?

All my Paganis are from AliExpress. Easy, cheap and quick in my experience, never had an issue.
