Whoops... Sort of accidentally bought something I've been after for ages.
Never bought one as other things have always managed to get in the way... Having coughed up a load on the car this month, I shall be eating beans for the foreseeable future!

Anyway, this is what I've bought-

cool
Nice choice

So my Steinhart 'vintage' Ocean Military arrived.....annoying - I'd ordered and paid for two (one was for a mate) and only one has turned up frown

So until that's sorted, I've not taken any protective stickers or film off it yet nor put my nice shiny new isofrane dive strap on it.

But it feels nice and solid with a real 'heft' to it. Gimme a few ticks and I'll stick a cacky iphone pic up...(and sorry for how awful pic is....)

Edited to add: ok blow that, I've unwrapped it and have stuck it on the 22mm Isofrane rubber strap I got for it.

The Steinhart looks ace. I really want a black Ocean; I noticed it has the slightly better ETA movement too (compared to many in this price range). Also like the Davosa Ternos but its more money and less well known!

Nice. Would like to see one in the flesh I'm a fan of silver faces on watches, not seen one of those before.

Similar yes, but the two watches wore a little differently on the wrist. We were running a little late for the 'plane so I didn't have as much time as I really wanted with the watches and I didn't hold the two of them side by side, however from what I remember the Pelagos case looked marginally slimmer.
Thanks for the mini-review. Even if they were the same height, the Pelagos would probably look slimmer due to the matt finish and escape valve (?) I guess.

As promised!

Love the clean, crisp design. Not bad for under £80.

New to PH (but not to watches, cars or bikes!), looking through the forums and found this one - excellent! I have owned a number of nice watches over the years, but tend to get bored and change them quite frequently. I currently have an Oris RUF Chronograph, one of 3,000 produced worldwide to mark the launch of the RUF CTR3 (their version of a Porsche Carrera GT). I have owned it for about 18 months and never seen anyone else wearing one, which I like. The only problem I have had is the original leather strap started to wear very quickly, however after I contacted Oris they replaced it with a rubber strap free of charge! Great watch and great service too. No pics but you can look it up on t'internet if you're interested I guess.

wavey Welcome!

I wouldn't worry about the lack of bikes/cars/watchers/boats/private jets. It's opinions clutched with religious fervour that count on these pages biglaugh
