Nice. Makes my ninja sense tingle. (Perhaps you didn't want to know that.)

I have the normal Riseman and love it.

It is a bit cheesy in a sort of 'action man watch' type way, with the colour, but I couldn't resist. I have issues. 3 friggin G-shocks on the way. It's not like they are THAT different either. I blame this thread.

Yeah. The air pressure sensor is useful, mind. And G-shocks can take a lot of st thrown at them so make ideal everyday watches whether you're doing the lawn or fighting a horde of ninjas.

Was it your fantasy to own one?

An old friend of mine used to be a first mate on a luxery yacht. One of them big fella's you see at the monaco gp. He'd been on a racing yacht & is good friends with some of the guys. He said in the magazine adverts they show them wearing these nice expensive omega's, rolex & so on, but most of them wear the G-shock watches. more reliable , acurate & tough.

In a way, I'm not surprised. Apparently, these luxury watches can take a knock or two, but I'm happy to play watch conkers and offer up my G as my weapon of choice against any Rolex or Breitling.

Just seen this on Seiya

I like it but at £622 it's way too expensive! http://www.seiyajapan.com/product/G-GWF-1000B-1JR/...

You could buy the non B version and save £200. I wouldn't buy a Frogman personally, as I don't dive and it is a pretty specific watch built for that purpose.

I am close to getting one of these though.

A GW-5000.biggrin

I love the classic square G's and already have a GW-M5600BC negative display model. I think that this is the ultimate G for me.

I don't understand the massive premium for the Frogman, are they full on dive computers or something ? You could have a Protrek that makes your tea for that money, hewn from a lump of Titanium too.

Honestly I'm not bitter because my arms are skinny and if I wore a frogman I'd be walking in circles all day.

... although it's very US biased and has the worlds worst interface for a forum.

Why is Asia and the USA always get the best watches? Surely there is a market for the same watche in this country? All the G-Shocks that I like are never available on any English sites.

I'm quite wary of ordering from Ebay, as I know there are a lot of fakes on there.

Does anyone know anywhere reputable that I can get one of thses from?
