The 5196 I don't like, It's manual wind and I PREFER auto.
The last few years I've discovered I enjoy winding a watch up. Again, the connection.

WRT to your eyes: Refractive Lens Exchange. I had it done 10+ years ago and it was money well spent because I don't wear glasses anymore.
I'll have a look, thanks. I've got different glasses in different rooms!

Off topic now...apologies...but I'm really starting to like the bezel on the yacht master now. Its def growing on me.

The bezel is beautiful, I had the white gold version.
These models also sit very nicely on the wrist because they are relatively thin.

I only discovered it in desperation.

I walked into a Pret on a cold day and my glasses steamed up. Bought a coffee to take out and then decided to stay inside and drink it. The spotty youth from behind the counter came over and said "excuse me Sir, you paid for takeaway. I will let it go this time, but don't do it again". I was there trying to clean my glasses, feeling old, and I thought "there has to be a solution". There was; RLE.

From that day to this, I haven't taken st from spotty youths. biggrin

PM me if you want any more info, I might be able to save you some time (and money).

Quite hard to wear without looking like a bit of a knob though. Also need to be able to tan.

They are nice, a mate had one. But never wore it as it looked ridiculous.

Yes, you do indeed require the correct skin tone to carry it off.

Same with the everose models.

I'm not getting what is so ridiculous about a yachtmaster on oysterflex let alone why you have to be a knob to wear it?
confused

The fact it’s solid yellow gold mate.

Found mine to be a versatile, almost daily wear tbh.

I stand corrected about having a certain skin tone to carry it off; thats looks great.

Ta. Yeah, i don’t really subscribe to that either.

The OysterFlex is very comfy and tones the whole thing down. Can look smart or casual.

I find my Rhodium dial more eye catching tbh. But the YMs are, to my eye, the best watches in the Rolex line up.

It’s tilted to the light which is lessening the GOLD.

The same mate actually has the Rhodium one too, it was also quite bling but I liked it.

I like the rose gold YM, a lot. If the Zenith Chronomaster Sport in RG didn't exist, it would be on the list. But the Zenith is my next "big" watch, and can be bought heavily discounted.
