Laco are a nice watch, looks good at that price!!

Well my Christopher Ward has arrived and wow, the box alone is a work of art!!
The watch itself is everything I wanted from a pilots watch, lovely clean, clear face, lovely smooth second hand movement, the display case back is just beautiful!!!
Put it on and you understand that it's a different league from most of the other watches I own.
Definitely won't be my last Christopher Ward, to say I'm pleased is an understatement!!!

We have quite different taste in watches!
I have no specific taste, I just like shiny, ticky, tocky, sweepy hands things!!!

This thread should some kind of health warnings!

Just wanted to update on the TAG link. TAG are carrying out the work free of charge to replace the Crown that was replaced 15 months ago (so 3 months outside of warranty)

Should be back in a month or so... guaranteed I'll end up with another 200 ish watch while waiting...

Bad influence this thread!
Excellent news about the TAG!!!
As for buying more watches readit
Read the smallprint!!

Smallprint!! The original poster and all the other idiots what post here are not responsible in any way shape or form for your inability to control your urges!!! We have enough trouble dealing with our own uncontrollable needs!!!

Bit bloody healthy that breakfast! I just take mine out of the packet, pour milk on and consume. My orange juice tends to be a bit more coffee coloured too.

I see you have a Spinnaker - what is the quality like on these? I like the colour of the one you have but would prefer it on an oyster-style bracelet.
Quality is excellent, they're a very well made watch, NH35 movement so reliable and smooth, case and strap are extremely well made, strap weighs a ton!!! Sapphire crystal glass, display case back, personally I love it!!

Thanks, looks like a smashing watch. Hopefully the bracelet is easy to swap as I’m not very technically minded lol.
Simple springbar retainer with good cutout access, if you have a springbar pry tool (little two pronged thing usually comes with new straps) then it'll be fiddly but relatively easy to swap them, tutorials on line if you've never done it before!!

I'm suddenly drawn to these...suspect I will not resist the cheap one for long. Chrono automatic £300 odd, cheap quartz one around £115. The latter has a nice looking deployant clasp too... Anyone going to talk me out of it?
.

The fact that nobody has even tried to talk you out of it should mean that you've already ordered it, yes?!? smile

Sightly better picture outside.

That looks great! It has a classy vintage style to it that I like.
I like it too, and I'm not sure if it's despite or because of the 70s Eastern European porn star vibe.

Does anyone have any recommendations for decent sellers of these?
Direct from Spinnaker for me, not sure how that'll effect you?

Have a good one. I’d say come to Frankfurt for a beer, but we’ve all just got bloody Covid-19.
Happy Easter everyone.

I feel your pain, been there, done that myself. I even tried to live with the tiny scratch for a while but my eye was drawn to it every time I looked at the watch.
You're doing the right thing replacing the dial. I now religiously us a thin section of plastic to protect the surface from my rather cheap and scratchy hands removal tool. thumbup
I did that, I think I was just being a bit cack handed. It's a steep learning curve.

I put it together anyway. I don't love the crystal but pretty happy with the rest of it.

Would you be offended if i said it reminded me of a liquorice allsort?!?
