The Under £200ish Watch and occasional Opera Thread! Vol2
Discussion
Laco are a nice watch, looks good at that price!!
Well my Christopher Ward has arrived and wow, the box alone is a work of art!!
The watch itself is everything I wanted from a pilots watch, lovely clean, clear face, lovely smooth second hand movement, the display case back is just beautiful!!!
Put it on and you understand that it's a different league from most of the other watches I own.
Definitely won't be my last Christopher Ward, to say I'm pleased is an understatement!!!

This thread should some kind of health warnings!
Just wanted to update on the TAG link. TAG are carrying out the work free of charge to replace the Crown that was replaced 15 months ago (so 3 months outside of warranty)
Should be back in a month or so... guaranteed I'll end up with another 200 ish watch while waiting...
Bad influence this thread!

I like that comparison r159, my Citizen Prodiver lumes really well, but both my Steeldives are way better!!
Today I have gone retro at breakfast!!
Bit bloody healthy that breakfast! I just take mine out of the packet, pour milk on and consume. My orange juice tends to be a bit more coffee coloured too.Today I have gone retro at breakfast!!

I see you have a Spinnaker - what is the quality like on these? I like the colour of the one you have but would prefer it on an oyster-style bracelet.
Quality is excellent, they're a very well made watch, NH35 movement so reliable and smooth, case and strap are extremely well made, strap weighs a ton!!! Sapphire crystal glass, display case back, personally I love it!!BrabusMog said:

I'm suddenly drawn to these...suspect I will not resist the cheap one for long. Chrono automatic £300 odd, cheap quartz one around £115. The latter has a nice looking deployant clasp too... Anyone going to talk me out of it?
.
The fact that nobody has even tried to talk you out of it should mean that you've already ordered it, yes?!? .

I feel your pain, been there, done that myself. I even tried to live with the tiny scratch for a while but my eye was drawn to it every time I looked at the watch.
You're doing the right thing replacing the dial. I now religiously us a thin section of plastic to protect the surface from my rather cheap and scratchy hands removal tool.
I did that, I think I was just being a bit cack handed. It's a steep learning curve. You're doing the right thing replacing the dial. I now religiously us a thin section of plastic to protect the surface from my rather cheap and scratchy hands removal tool.
I put it together anyway. I don't love the crystal but pretty happy with the rest of it.
