Chevy G20 Dayvan, yes or no?
Discussion
Been offered a 1986 G20 Dayvan with a 350ci lump, long mot, months tax and recent reasonable respray for £2500. Good tyres, no dings or dents, no obvious rust, good interior.
Anything special I should look out for and is it a reasonable price. It will only be used the occasional weekend to get away from work with a limited mileage of 5k per year.
Thanks for any pointers in advance.

Heres the one I had for a while. it was a beaut.
Can't offer you much advice as to what too look for although they do rust so cautious with a new respray. What I can tell you:
- don't kid yourself on the petrol - on a steady motorway run at 65mph I got 15mpg - that was the best ever. 5k miles a year is an expensive habit.
- they are huge. Too tall for any M'storey and too big for most car parks. In Padstown cornwall on holiday I had to pay for a coach parking bay.
- if its got the toys - check they all work
- Mine really did handle more like a boat than a car - I think my shocks were past their best - but they are an acquired taste.
- I loved it and it was a great way to travel. look down on 4x4 owners through a screen the size of a cinema's!
- The kids loved it and no other car brought so much ammusement to so many people.
- toys were fun - DVD, games console, heated/chilled cup holders, electric bed, mood lights and on and on
I'm glad I did it, but also glad I sold it when I did. I would imagine that petrol prices must be making them hard to shift, but that sounds a good price if its a nice one.
Who did the conversions? can we have pictures?

Will get more details tomorrow but it is an "Imperial" conversion. Fairly basic with no toys though. Have got some pics on my phone which I will upload tomorrow.
Thanks for the info. Used to have a 30ft Concorde Motorhome so boatlike handling I am used to. (Have a PCV licence so size is not a problem either)
My fuel bill for my other three cars is over £500.00 per week so a bit more won't notice much anyway!! I just need a private car rather than company and this seems to fill all our leisure needs at the moment. Your old Dayvan looks good.
