My old Trans Am, MD 51 BFA
Discussion
Hello all,
Well looking back over the years, and I find many images of my old WS6 Trans Am.
A 2002, last year they were made, convertible.
I sold it about 3 years ago, to a guy living on the South Coast. maybe Brighton. ?

.
Have you still got her, and has she been well behaved ?

The F body was, and still is a good car.
Not sure I would have a black one again.
Great when clean and polished, but drive it once, and you'r back to square one.
I am half minded to go back to Houston, or some where east coast, and buy another and bring it over.
I just not sure for the coupe or the 'vert.
They are both good in their own way.
Even the 'vert will 'run the clock'
The laid back relaxing stance of the 'vert gives very long distance mile munching.

Nice car! I had the previous (non ram air) model in a Targa.
What Mpg did you get out of this in the real world? I am thinking of taking the plunge on a V8 even though fuel prices are meant to be going up again. I have heard people say 25-30mpg is the average. I have read STI, Evos, even Megane R26's do less than that. I don't want to be put off an 8 when a turbo 4 or straight 6 will be just as thirsty if not worse.
The LHD thing is a bit of a worry too. Might get a bit tiring after a while for a daily.

Hi Tav,
Day to day, down to the shops, off to the mums, your looking 15 to 18 mpg.
If you want to start playing, and chasing Evos, then sub 10 mpg.
It was my weekend toy, so mpg wasn't important.
Used a diesl Mondeo for the 90% of the miles.
The TA only went out if it was dry adn sunny, as it was a PITA to keep clean.
