Hi there guys,

One year ago I bought a 98 Grand Cherokee 4.0 with 40k miles on the clock in great condition. I saw many and I think I was really lucky to find this one and buy it for... £2k smile

One year and 10k miles on, I am loving it, on and off road.

A couple of things for you guys:

- I have no night light for the center console where the gear lever is and can't tell which gear I am in when dark. Where is the bulb for this?

- Fuel consumption is not that bad at 18mpg (UK) or 15 mpg (US) but I may be doubling mileage next year. What drop in £/miles can I expect from an LPG conversion? (no salesman numbers, some real experience please!)

Thanks.

Raph.

You will get around 15 mpg on LPG. I am assuming you have a trip computer which is calibrated for US gallons. I reckon that the displayed fuel economy on my truck is pretty close with LPG use. Biggest decider will be how long are you going to keep it for to get back the conversion cost (around 2k for a decent injection system) LPG is around 50pence a litre cheaper than petrol. Do the maths then decide.
