Buying on 09 Escalade - advice/servicing etc
Discussion
Very tempted to but an 2009 escalade ive been offered, I used to have one when i lived in the UAE and im tempted to get one over her (uk)
Problem is how easy will it be to get serviced/parts etc, I live in Leeds
Any opinions if i'll struggle on our small streets, il only be doing 12k per year
Hi, I run an Escalade and have done since 2007. The cars are very cheap here at the moment! How much are you thinking of paying for an 09? The Hybrid I run now is by far the best option for the UK with the ridiculous petrol prices! Servicing is fine here and can be carried out at most garages! Good luck!
Been offered it for 30k incl brand new 24" alloys, only done 6k miles. Owned by my grans neighbour down in surrey. Would be a private sale, owner will px if I dont want it. Its black on black.
Never thought about the hybrid, only ever seen them brand new. I was put off by the complicated hybrid system going wrong and I struggle to get it fixed. I know in the south there are far more options of garages to use.

£30k is not bad for an 09 but I wouldn't say its cheap! Also make sure it is an 09 and not an 07 that Stratstone sold as an 09! A good friend of mine bought what he thought was an 09 from Stratstone only to find out that it was an 07 and infested with bugs where it had been sat for over two years before being registered! Check the date of manufacture before handing over your cash. Good luck

Bugs as in problems with 07MY cars or real bugs??? Also you say about the hybrid, I have seen one for sale at a dealer in London for £70k and an American spec not even a euro car! WOW lots of fuel can be purchased for £15-20k more than a standard car.Vet Guru said:

Servicing is easy as heck, just remember that they're designed to have far more frequent oil and filter changes than European cars.
I wouldn't worry about Hybrid reliability, friend of mine with a Limo company here in the NY City area has a couple of them, one's been in service for 2 years with no issues, I'm sure it's got close to 200k miles by now.
