i bought recently a pontiac GTO 1970. ( mad 454 john sleath engine etc etc ) i am looking to replace the modern style yellow plates with what would have been correct in 1970. probably some sort of black and white pressed plates.

can anyone point me in the right direction

thanks a lot

Try Craigs plates sub website for American Cars, http://www.american-number-plate.com/

Do bare in mind anything that looks foreign may get a tug.

Looks stunning! The only way that could be any better would be it being a Judge.

Put a pic up once you get the plates fitted if you don't mind.
