Here are some pics of my old Camaro. This car was an 87 model with 52,000 genuine miles. I placed 3rd at the Nationals with it over here in Australia before I finished it to this concourse level. It was perfect.
350ci 5.7L, Targa tops and had ever factory option you could get. Had to sell it to fund a house purchase though. Biggest regret ever. I was my first dream car. I always wanted to have one since i was an apprentice and ended up with the arguably the best in Australia. Hope to have another one day. I could bring one over from the US since you can drive LHD over there! Very tempting!

What do you all think?

Sweet - but isn't it missing all it's gold or silver tape striping?

No. It has iroc z 28 written in gold on the door just behind the front guard. Just can't really see it in the pics.

Oh, OK, but it should also have a gold tape stripe that runs right around the car, just above the front air dam - under the IROC-Z decal on the door and around the rear bumper (under the Z-28 badge). Even so, it's a really nice example - I had an 88 5.7 TPI in the UK and loved every day of ownership of that car.

Was the lower body stripe standard on the IROC-Z? My 1987 IROC-Z had the door decals but no stripes either, I could never work out why!

Great looking IROC though Big Tav, I loved my 87 even though it was only a 305! I've now got a 92' Z28 350ci and no plans to get rid. cloud9

The gold stripe was on early cars not the 87. I would love to see pics of your 92 model mate. Post em up!

Nope, your misinformed there Big Tav. All IROCs came out of the plant with these stripes on them. Did yours get a re-paint? That would be my guess.

Hang onto it - if it's ISBN 1 85361 110 7 - the one with the photographic goof on page 99, it's quite rare.
I have a few 1st edition/limited edition hardbacks covering a variety of American marques - one or two of 'em are steadily growing in value.

in poor nick - but sought after....

Modern classic (casebound with hard sleeve and signed by author)

...and my most productive find (paid a tenner for it in a 2nd hand shop in Hastings in 1984 - now worth around $3500)

Stu. I never knew you had a IROC. All these pics being put up makes me want to go out and find a mint black one.

Very nice, shame you posted after selling. I can feel empathise as had to sell my 400bhp ZZ4 engined IROC due to work at the time. 5 or 6 years later I have got the IROC that I always wanted-

Yep, had it for 7 years, sold in 2000.

They seem to be climbing in value again now, after bottoming out a couple of years ago..
