Advice before I buy

Hi, I am off to Belgium at the weekend to look at a 1975 Lincoln Continental Mk4 Lipstick edition which, if I buy it, I will bring back to the UK. It is tax and duty paid in the EU so I am happy about that aspect.

I need to get it MOT'd and registered. Which do I have to do first? Can I register it without an MOT or can I MOT it without a registration number? Can't quite get my head around the sequence of events.

Could also do with some advice on price comparitors - quite difficult to judge what is reasonable.
