What Chevy trucks this?

Hi all does anyone know what sort of chevy this is it has a straight 6 engine a friends just bought it from a farm sale with no documents any idea?

Looks like a mid 70's (guess at 76) Chevy C10 fleetside....possibly ex - military..

Thats Def the one looks like its a C10 with 4.2l 6cyl

That's a 73 - 79. The double shackles at the front mean it's military spec so you should find two batteries and alternators. Just get it road legal and run it as it is! It looks cool!!

Correct its a 79 it does look like its military spec although is 12v and just the one alternator would be nice to get a MOT on it and just use it as it is although looking underneath looks like it needs a lot welding but for £260 thinks its cheap, and going to try start it at the weekend.

Ok so we got it fired up at the weekend without to much trouble, were driving it around the field and a pipe burst going to the autobox which blow out all the transmision fluid all over the engine can anyone tell me what auto transmission fluid it would take and how much it holds im guessing a lot?
