Needing some pretty specific help for one of these cars.

Basically my father is restoring an electric clock movement that is in the dash of one, but the coil pack in the clock currently has a resistance of only 3 ohms, it dropped from an earlier reading of nearer 10 ohms.

The question I need answering is: Does anyone know the correct resistance for a coil pack in the clock of one of these?

I cannot find any information regarding the clock anywhere through searching google frown

I don't know the model of car yet, but know it is a 1953 DeSoto.

Thanks in advance!

Sorry, can't help with the specifics but if he's up for fixing a couple of '57 Chrysler clocks drop me a PM! I can measure the resistance of mine, they may be the same unit if yours is 12V.
