Just taken delivery of my new Ram. Charles at 51st State Autos supplied it after I gave him my spec which included Sat Nav and rear Camera etc.

The 4th one I've owned and this latest 2500 6.7 Cummins is on a different level from it's older brothers.

The quality of materials and fit is exceptional and the ride is much more compliant and quiet.

The pics don't give the real impression of size but I'm 6ft 2" and the bonnet is shoulder height.

Spunky. How do you ever park it? (aside from on top of other cars that might already have been there...)

[pistonhead mode] But it's got a live rear axle and you fall over on corners, interior made of Tic Tac boxes, leaf springs etc etc [/pistonhead mode]

Nice truck mate. biggrin

Cheers Guys

Yes I'm waiting for the usual bombardment of ignorance.

Ride is much better, much less of the hopping when empty. Very quiet and bear in mind the 2500 is always harder sprung that the 1500.

Yes....tis a Datsun next to it.

Nice (big!) truck. Are these much bigger than the previous generation then? It looks huge.

Love the wheels/tyres and bolt on arches smile

Hi Neil......Gt is great, a real sense of occasion, a very special car but doesn't come out much cos it's always raining. Am going to Le mans classic in it this year so looking forward to that..

The new truck isn't much bigger but the bonnet on the diesel is higher, got ginda like a bull nose front end. This one has been lifted anyhow coupled with the 35" tyres all helps. It feels much bigger and generally takes up 4 spaces in a car park. (Do you think if i bought 4 tickets it would make it legal?)

I thought the new gerneration carried fully independant suspension??. Or is that just the 1500 models??.

very nice, I run an 06 3500 as a daily & the ride quality (rear end bouncing) is more off putting than trying to park it !

I run this 1500......

Never had any problems what so ever with the rear bouncing. A little "bed shake" But thats about it. The 3500 does have a much heavier suspension set up than the 1500 and is less forgiving un-laden.

They really are stunning, and that's a lovely spec yes

Congrats!

Did you consider the F250 at all? ( I realise I'm walking a very fine line by asking Dodge owners if they considered the Ford alternative, but I'm interested in both biggrin)

Gotta say, no I didn't consider Ford.....don't know why but possibly cos Dodge have always led the way in the US truck market.
