tvr chimaera 400 supercharged or LS1 swap???

hi guys need ur help was thinking to get my chimaera supercharged but than i checked online about the LS1 engine and it seems pretty neat.what do u think about it?????how much modification will i have to do?this engine is pretty cheap comapre to the supercharger kit which will give only an extra 100hp.LS1 out of the boxe got 350hp and a lot of mods are possible.can i use the 6 speed corvette trans???tks for ur hlp

PM "Jellison" on here. He has already done a sucessful conversion on his Chimaera.

Better to use the Tremec TKO600 5-speed gearbox , better feel, lighter, stronger and based on the T5 box already fiited in the Chimeara so will go in easily.

As BlueThunder says check out 'Jellison' as he's did one of the first Ls engine Chim swaps and did a good build thread on it with all the problems encountered.

tks was also wondering if the T5 trans with racing clutch will be able to take the power.cause here in malaysia we have little parts from US so it ll be pretty hard to get that trans here.how about the 6 speed from the vette????i heard a lot of people saying that it was a bit heavy.oh and most of the shops dont do shipping to asia.any idea who might help me???any good shop???how about the LS1 from australia???

^ Oz is the place for you to look. Lots of LS stuff there. t56 will just fit iirc but it's a 9 stone box. Not sure what that is in kg's.
