Anyone going up?

We'll be there on the Saturday and Sunday with a group of fellow 300C/Charger/Challenger owners, maybe in the pit area as a group.

Weather doesn't look too good but we'll make the most of it!

I was there today, saw the 300c's in black and silver, along with the pontiacs, trans ams, etc. all good v8 stuff!

To be fair it was the monster trucks that I went to see and the classic yank drag cars/ road cars were pretty awesome.

I should also give a special mention to :-

The kids drag car - 35mph tops awwww.

The 2 fiat 126/127's - both very quick and I'm not sure I'd have liked to take an impact at 130mph (which one of them clocked!).

The wrestling was comical, all together a really good day.

Hope the weather held, we left at about 2.30ish and it was raining here (35 miles south west of pod) by 5pm - hard.

PS. My mrs has pledged to take her turbo volvo on a rwyb day - I will be holding her to it
, and insisting she do it with bicycles strapped to the back with a roof box on for volvo authenticity.

LOL, if I could have reaction times like Adam I'd be a happy man! things did improve for me and Paul in the other SRT8, we were down to 13.02 and 108mph by the end of the day, room for improvement though!

Must say it's a pleasure to hear Adam start his truck up outside my hotel window!

Now, if only the rain could stop..............

Ha ha, yes, sorry about the noise.

The truck remains undefeated against the SRT-8. Mind you, I have a lot more experience at the strip than the SRT boys.

Comes with practie though. You just have to get out there and do it.

Was this the lot that kept the hotel awake at night by not putting a pillow behind the headboard.
Nice performance but put that energy into the track launch and you'll loose another 1/10 lol

Hey Adam I should have got mobilised eairler and spanked the lot of you.
Great to meet up as always

I thought the event was pretty quiet when you consider the time the track was open till.
Got a few runs in early evening but only netted an 11.6 had issues with the tuning download
from the SCT hand held and did not have my laptop as backup.

What you need on those SRT8's is some spare rims with drag radials on to get a bit more grip.
Like our trucks they are not light so take some getting away without loosing traction.

Check out some stateside rear end mods on some US forums and see whats available.
See you at Shakey.

Yes, it was a shame it was so quiet, but on the other hand it was great for getting plenty of runs in. That's a great time by the way, I'd need some very serious mods to achieve that!

Will have a dig around about the rim/tyre options, my only concern is the half shafts are a potential weak point on the SRT8's and it's bloody expensive to get hold of better ones!

I only arrived at about 15:00hrs and ran after 18:00hrs
Red Lightning

Check out Rebel site.
Just got off the phone to Adam seems like the gauntlet has been thrown down
so Gary's at Shakey will be another SRT v SVT shhotout.
