Lincoln Continental experts?

Hi All,
My Dad recently purchased the beautiful '78 Continental Town Car you see below. Something we noticed is the absence of the opera window on the C-pillar. Having done a bit of research I considered that what he may have landed himself with is a 'Collectors Edition' only not all of the facts seem to add up, such as it has the 460ci not the 400ci of the '78 CS. Can anyone shed any light on what this actually is?

Not an expert....but....
I'm sure that's a town car.
Continentals had the little window.
(Assume you realise the Town Car and the Continental are two different models.)
Note Some of these cars have airbag suspension which needs to be turned off before you start jacking up wheels, switch is in the trunk. Costly if you get it wrong.
