I rented one in US the last week, and it's made up my mind. I was wavering, as I've been more than happy with my Roush for over three years, but the Camaro is in a different league. As always, it's difficult to swallow the price over here, but I guess that's just part of living in Rip-Off UK. Hope you enjoy yours. 2SS? Would you mind telling us where and how much? Picador in Southampton are advertising for around £37,000, which is a few thousand less than anyone else.
For BlueThunder, here's a shot we took one night at a Chevy dealer in St. Petersburg. Just a small selection of Camaros for sale. Sunset Yellow with stripes in the foreground. The far yellow one is a Transformers edition, priced at a tad over $40,000, or around £26,000. (Sorry for picture quality)

That's lovely, congrats
I can't believe I've still not seen one in the metal yet. I'd love to take one for a spin as I had a test drive in the 2010 Mustang yesterday and was blown away by it. I can only imagine how good the 412bhp 2011 version will be.
Anyway, this thread is about your car, so get those driving impressions posted

Anyone bought one in the states and shipped it back. If so what are the hoops and hurdles?
IIRC there is a huge amount of hurdles for personal import on these, Dealers are not allowed to sell for export to individuals. Mine was sold by one dealer in USA to dealer in Canada and then exported to dealership over here.It was all a bit too much hassle to deal with so took the hit and bought through Picadors. Even then it was far from painless!
I blow hot and cold on these and I can't make up my mind as to whether I really like them or not. For me, it would have to be the blue or orange but I'm probably more happy with the Mustang, something that as a Camarophile, I never thought I'd say. I also think that for the money, I'd buy a used Z06.
Not seen one in white before though.

Being in the U.S., I've seen a bunch of them on the road. I love them, but for some reason, the red (not the metallic red, the normal red) is really underwhelming. I really do not like it. I'd get the Inferno Orange Metallic (my Firehawk is Sunset Orange Metallic) or the Red Jewel Tintcoat. Even the Grey is stunning.

Very nice.....I did get a couple of photos but didn't post 'em as I see you Photoshopped out your number plate in your photos....and I've not idea how to do that!!
Yours was the first one I've seen close up and I have to say it's everything I wanted it to be. Blimmin' gorgeous. The interior also looks much better in the flesh. Photos always made it look cheap and shiney, but that isn't the case at all.
Corkin' motor, Sir. Although I could live without the blue strobe

Got mine today; it was only a matter of time. Looks like a negative image of VXRPhantom's, with white on black. Stripes are a bit toooo white though, so they'll be changed for a metallic silver in the next week or so, to match the wheels, or a matt black. Considered gold, but thought it'd look a little bit too 'Firebird', not that that's a bad thing. Definitely needs to be a little lower, and a bit louder, so they'll be the first mods. Anyone out there tried Borla or Magnaflow?
