I know what your all thinking... don't be a txxt!!

I agree, but the Aussies apparently won't allow Yank left hand drive motors to enter the country.

I love mine as a left hooker but rules are rules... and a 2003 HD can alledgedly fetch upto $100,000 Aus so might be worth converting mine to RH drive, even though I'd probably hold onto it out there.

So does anyone know of any reputabile companies that can do a decent job? .....I dont!

PS - dont all try to flog your HD's down under-you need to have residency to do it!

there was a firm over here doing them on new F150's, the conversion added £10k to the price

If you shop around now you can find a few second hand RHDs and they are worth less than the LHD ones

Can it be converted down under or does it have to be done prior to shipping?

Hi KevF,

I have been informed that it needs to be done Pre arrival.

I am onto the Oz authorities to get it confirmed.

PS - Did you sell your HD & if so what did you replace it with?

Catch you on Rebel V8 soon.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that the LHD rule had been dropped...
We had a viper member take his LHD Viper to new zealand and it got let in after an inspection.

I'd heard that as well.

As for converting to RHD I thought it was done in New Zealand. I know there is also a place in California but that's a bit excessive.

Not yet but working on it ; )

The reason I ask is that I know of a guy in NZ who has imported a new GT500 and had it converted by a company there once it had landed. He couldnt drive it or register it though until the conversion had been done and verified.

Not sure if they do other makes but this is the company that did to RHD vipers for the Chrysler UK MD.
They looked factory after being striped down to the frame..

This is the place that Shelby authorise to convert all their Mustangs to RHD and as they do all Mustangs then I am sure they should either be able to handle the F150 or at very least know where they can be done mate.
