4th Gen V6 owners
Discussion
Hi, I've owned an LT1 and LS1 Camaro over the years as weekend toys, but have got the urge to have a V6 that I could use as a daily, has anyone ever owned one and if so any idea what the 'real world' MPG is like..
I'm also toying with the option of a V6 Mustang if it's a lot better on fuel so any 'owners' pointers would be appreciated.

I once test-drove a manual V6 4th gen and it was quite a nice car to drive. In practice, though, the V6s aren't really any more economical than the V8s as they are still 200hp 3.8s (210hp 4.0 in the Mustang)carrying 1600kg round. I think both use the T5 manual gearbox which is a nice box to row.
The plus side is that V6s tend to be much much cheaper than V8s and being harder to sell, more negotiable so you can save money that way. I would guess at 20-26mpg in daily use. My V8 did 20-24.
