Is that your engine number or the casting number.
Original engine number is a rivited on tag.
Casting number is ....cast in the lump
If it's the casting number.
I know E is 1980s, so F is probably 90s so the F5 would be 1995.
Even if it not the original engine, the original was probably a 302 or possibly the 300 straight 6, although the 300 had higher torque so was more often used in F350s
If it IS the engine number, I've no clue, sorry.

hi yer i think it is the casting no cant see the engine no i've since been told i'll have to remove the starter to get at it, and your right it orignally had the 300 6 engine as it was a tow dolly for the canadian army so needed the extra torqueOriginal engine number is a rivited on tag.

thank's for the info i'd like to think it was a 95 lump i'll wip the starter off and post my findings
