Hi guys,

New to PH, but a long term observer. I am a long term Camaro fan and had a 400bhp IROC with ZZ4 motor and HOT cam amongst other upgrades. Had to sell it back in 2004 and missed it terribly.

This Summer, bought a new 'Vert IROC off the classifieds in Ireland and bought it back to the UK. Very tidy car and extremely happy with it. Only 200BHP or so but far more useable.

Question is I want to replace the headlights and have no idea where to turn in the UK. Just want OEM stuff none of this Projector rubbish. Any ideas?

Look forward to contributing to the site.

Cheers,
Felix

Awesome guys, many thanks. The ones on ebay could be in any state though right? Off a breaker? Or have I got the wrong ones?

Appreciate the help. Cheers

Yeh that's a breakers. Best give them a call or if you got the money get new ones. Why not give one of the guys a call at one of the parts places and get a price quote and then decide?

I imagine there is a camaro club in the UK. That or an american car club. Invaluable help, tech and like minded folks. Makes ownership so much better and less of an unknown.

There was a guy selling the square lights on ebay new rediculously cheap (light £10 or something)... they fit other cars so are listed under that, can't remember off top of my head....

The standard 3rd gen (in fact any gen) Camaro lights aren't too bright. I'd replace them with HID's personally

I no longer have my Camaro sadly but I can certainly recommend rockauto. Also speak to Keith at eurovettes.com who I always found to be very helpful.

Another vote for rockauto. You might have to pay import duty but the delivery takes around 48 hours and the prices are excellent. I got qoted something stupid from USAautomotive told I'd have to wait up to three weeks when I wanted to replaced my headlamps. I use the UK based places for big parts, small parts and service items all come direct from the USA....

Hi guys. Tried rockauto and they only have hood struts listed! Horrible site to navigate too. Am I missing something?

Thanks,
Felix

I bought my 3rd gen lights from either US automotive or Peter Cooper Spares, can't recall which. They are a generic size and were fitted to millions of US cars in the 80s. IIRC they were made by Cibie in France.

I agree the interface is a bit clunky! You just need to select the year of your car, the model, trim level and then it should give you a big list of categories. The headlight bulbs are listed under 'Electrical lamp & socket'. If you can't find them trying searching under 1992/Camaro/Z28/5.7 V8 350cid. They are definitely there and are the same for all models.
