car classifieds websites in the US
Discussion
Hi folks,
I've been on the hunt for a dodge ram for some time, and it seems increasinly unlikely that I'll find one in the spec I'm after in the UK having kept an eye on the PH classifieds, autotrader and ebay for what seems like an age. Patience is running out so I'm considering importing one myself.
Just after a few links for some decent classifieds sites based in the states, their equivalent of autotrader in the UK. I know about www.autotrader.com - any others worth a looksy?
Also, any other UK based websites worth keeping an eye on for Dodge Rams? I'm after a 2500 diesel in decent spec, 02 onwards
Thanks in advance.

I'm looking for a Quadcab shortbed 4x4 ideally, wouldn't object if it's been lifted a little bit either. I'm happy to see what any folks here could get one for but from what I've seen the markups found in the UK are a wee bit high. I've imported cars and couldn't really be chewed with the hassle again, but I'm keen to save what I can at the minute.
Haven't ruled out a holiday to the states yet, but some links would be great

I'd much prefer 4x4 as it's going to see some pretty challenging terrain under my ownership, but feel free to drop me a mail through my profile with details if / when you're looking to get rid.
Kev - thanks for the heads up on that one, it caught my eye before but it's only a 1500, and hemi. Not ruling anything out though but I'd really prefer a 2500 diesel.

Import costs are 22% Duty plus the Dreaded VAT on top...for trucks
If you have a friend in the US who can 'sell' you the truck you want at a favourable price then the fees will be less, We use a company for shipping who are very good, PM me if interested.
I used to live in FL and imported a couple Personal Possessions when I moved back, So been through the process for 3 vehicles.

Don't know any in the US but you didn't mention these: http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/ (they also advertise for USA dealers) and http://www.classic-american.com/cars_for_sale/cars...
