Back in July, was getting bored with the various clonks, squeeks coming from under the car and decided new bushes and ball joints were required.

While I had the front end apart, be silly not to upgrade the brakes as I'd always wanted to.

If you're going that far, obv fit new springs as well.

And do the back of the car while I'm at it.

Now, what would arrive 1st, the bits or the Barclaycard bill? eek

As we're now nearly in October, my '2, 3 weeks, tops' estimate was pretty much inversley proportionate to the amount of us that should dead from bird flu.

Anyhoo, pictures so far:

Make sure you have room for your project, carefull parking will mean can still get the o/s wheel off

Question for the ladies: You can never have too many...
a: shoes
b: cakes
c: axle stands
If you're answer is c and like lying on your back, covered in oil, PM me

Having somewhere dry to store parts not needed yet is handy; and yes, my fireplace is "Retro" too

Old

New

Old

New (yes the wheel arch is on the list to do)

Old

New (note: no servo now - just like a Mclaren FI hehe

Fills the wheel a bit better now. Bricks? Handbrake not connected yet

Big thanks to the girl at the shipping company who tracked down a parcel that ended up in Brazil instead of Hampshire , US Automotive who helped with bushes (I now know that parts of the front suspension are from a '78 Camaro, not a '71 rolleyes )and to Ian at Wyliez, for fitting them and advice. http://www.wyliezautos.co.uk/

Will update, when finished.

Yep, Hotchkis front and rear, fronts are short enough not to need spring compressors to fit (just as well as buggered them getting old ones off), just a pry bar and keep fingers clear!

Brakes were from Performance online, normally comes on drop spindles but got them to do standard height.

Hope yours is up and running again soon.

Got the Hotchkis poly ones in the rear hangers, rubber in front eyes.

Put rubber in control arms.

Have fun at Spa (as long as they don't shut it again), awesome track. Took my R32 Skyline there many moons ago.
